Very very tough one Kim, is it an oyster shell ? That’s the only word that comes into my mind π
Nope not an oyster shell.. but I like your thinking!
Did a giant crab just bore a hole in sand and threw out the wet sand over ? π
nope, not quite!
I know it it is on Sand but what ??? π
Oh My… Does It Originally Belong In The Sea? Because It Looks So Hard I would Think It’s A Carcas OR Dry SeaWeed ? This Is Hard! π
you got Narami.. it’s a piece of seaweed. I don’t know what type it was but it looked hard and when we felt it after taking the photo it wasn’t really hard!
Oh my goodness, thank God! It would have been embarrassing to not even get close to guessing, having grown up in the coast π
Ha ha! My son and I found this one at the beach I have never noticed it before, its amazing what you see when you go looking for “texture” he’s now always on the hunt for texture for me to take photos of!
You have a little helper! Cheating! Hahaha, no, seriously CUTE really π
I just love that all of my family have embraced my blogging. Star son, who will soon be 13 and sometimes a tricky age, often asks “whats on blogging topic today?” Or something similar.
That’s so cute, and a blessing too!
I’m debuting a new Textures of Tuesday “badge” next Tuesday (for the new year π inspired in your brilliant graphic, thanks for inspiring me! I could’ve never think of it on my own π
I am sure you would have thought of it!! I will be happy to use your badge when its released!
Oh, you can use it or use your own, I don’t mind at all. I felt really flattered that you made one, and then I felt like an idiot because it never crossed my mind. Trust me, I had no idea what it was like to host a recurring event, I’m learning on the go π
Sea weed ! That explains the twigs/ black roots around it … π

Kim – I like the seaweed shot – and read the comments and how cool that your son is helping. My kids are older and they do not really help take shots fro my blog, but my blog does give me an excuse to take extra photos – like if walking downtown and I want to grab shot under some cool structure – I just say “might be a shot for the blog” ha!
well hope you have a good week
I agree Yvette, since starting being serious about my blog l am getting inspiration everywhere for blog post ideas and for signs and texture.
oh I know and I look forward to connecting via blog paths this coming year π
